| Illustrated is MARS, the God of War, the RED planet.It was the first paperweight I successfuly created in the new style, thanks to the technical advice of Paul Ysart. I wanted to have a myriad of fine bubbles in exact areas within the design, and he suggested I use finely powdered Charcoal, shaken from a Pepper Pot on to the areas I wanted to bubble, and find out if that gave the desired effect. If that resulted in too many fine bubbles, he told me to try grinding up Burnt Toast which would give larger bubbles! |
