| Here are two paperweights that I made in 1979 inspired by the film Star Wars. They are technically 'Surface' decoration paperweights, a style rarely used by Caithness. The two androids were created by adding small granules of Silver Nitrate to the surface of the glass, and when they turned into Blobs of liquid, I sculpted them into R2 D2 and C3 PO. It is a technique that only works once in a hundred attempts. Hence these two pieces are UNIQUE. |
